Growing up in a single-parent household wasn’t always easy, but my mom made sure I was surrounded by strong female role models and mentors. Because of that influence, I have become the woman I am today—bold in my beliefs, brave when facing opposition, and brilliant in my decisions.

In the summer of 2015, I began working with Girls Inc. and was inspired by the incredible impact the organization was making in the lives of young girls. That experience led me to create Be Bold, Brave & Brilliant, a program designed to ensure that young girls and boys have mentors who encourage them to be their very best selves.

Since its creation, the program has raised over $23,000 for Girls Inc., reached communities across multiple states, serving schools, churches, after-school programs, and even businesses. Today, 1 in 3 young people grow up without a mentor, but through Be Bold, Brave & Brilliant, we are working to ensure that every child grows up with someone in their corner—someone who believes in them and inspires them to live boldly, bravely, and brilliantly.
